HAPPY NEW YEAR FABUNISTAS! And Hello 2024! Now, how are we already 5 days into the New Year? The time is flying, my birthday is near and there is so much work to do. I hope 2023 treated you well, but even if it didn’t, its gone na! We have a fresh start..But honestly, any day whether its a new year or not, is a fresh start. I guess Im learning, yesterday doesnt matter, its gone. Learn from yesterday but live in today. I decided to challenge myself to REALLY get out of my comfort zone. It’s boring as hell in there and unlike plants, you don’t really grow in there. I’m pretty hard on myself, but this go round I’m actually allowing myself to feel a more optimistic this year and to push the envelope. To anyone reading this, let me know how you are feeling about the new year and what resolutions you may have. Ive got some new things coming up and I cant wait to share…..keep reading.

But FIRST Let me tell you how New Years Eve went and what I’ve done in the New Year thus far. (Don’t expect anything too crazy)

My New Years Eve went something like this…

I woke up early and headed to what felt like Zimbabwe for my nail appointment. (Okay, it was in Utica, but thats still pretty far) However, it didn’t matter where it was, I was determined to NOT go into the New Year with busted nails and toes, so it had to be done. Shortly after I headed into work for a few hours, but was off by 8. Of course it was busy at my job, but I had a good day. All my customers were cool, dressed to the nines and in good spirits, so that always makes my job a joy. I even ran into an old friend I hadn’t seen in YEARS, so I had a time. After taking our Farewell 2023 shots, I headed home to get dressed for the evening, although I had no clue what I was doing; I just knew I’d be with my friends and that’s all that mattered to me.

As you may know, it takes me forever to get dressed at times. I really do try my best to be timely and not change 4 times, just to put on the thing I had on the first time….Buuuuuuuuuuuuut, It still happens more times than not. (I tried)

This time, the real issue was the length of time to do my make up, and changing my WHOLE outfit. I originally planned to wear a red leather dress I had bought a few weeks ago but in true fashion, it was indeed too small (womp womp, too many snacks, yet I regret nothing). However, this prompted a better idea, I went with a black dress, heels, and a hot pink fur trimmed coat. (Perhaps these items will be available for purchase in the next few days… wink wink)

the New Year in with 7 of my friends and we met at the casino first, then headed to Deluxx Fluxx (They were open until 4) Although my knees were weak and my feet hurt from the heels and walking miles (because my friends couldn’t decide where we were going), the drinks definitely helped and I had a great time. We may have had too much fun, because we didnt get many pictures (That’s usually a good sign). I do however, have a few funny stories, but I’ll have to share those another day.

I didn’t arrive home until about 5/6 am after searching to find somewhere to eat. (Now, you KNOW I was hungry, White castle it was)

And well, since the New Year, I’ve been creating memories, creating my own mini vision board and making sure I stay on task, so with that being said………..

Here are a few BIG announcements I wanted to share!

I am pleased to announce that April 2024, I will be expanding my business in 2 new ways……

First I will be offering MOBILE BARTENDING SERVICES. I took my first bartending class in 2018 after realizing making drinks was interesting to me. Years later, I decided to ditch the normal 9-5 and go for something different. I started as a “Beer-tender” and later moved into a bartender and its been the best learning experience with an extremally different change of pace. I enjoy the networking, the response when people enjoy their drinks and I even enjoy the criticism because I like a challenge. Needless to say, it’s starting to feel familiar and I think I have fallen in love (But, I mean, our logo literally has a martini glass in it, so I guess it was to be expected) I am so excited about this and have been working on it for so long. I cannot wait to begin this journey. As some of you may know I do bartend at a hotel currently and that is what has inspired me to move forward in this direction. Please stay tuned for updates!

My second announcement is the launch of FIRST SIGHT WEDDING OFFICIANT SERVICES. In 2022, I lost my Aunt Pat, and it was a blow to our family. However, in the midst of it, I decided to start a business as an ode to her. (She owned her own Beauty Salon called First Sight) Thus my company was born! This has also been in the works for quite some time and I even officiate my friends marriage in 2022. I would like to officiate and be a part of more weddings this year, whether that’s officiating, styling, or being your bartender. Hell, for the right price, I will do all 3! I have over a decade of client service experience, and I’m ready to do things my way and spread my wings, so starting April 2024, I will officially be available. (But, you can call me before in case of a Love emergency.)

Well Fabunista, I appreciate you reading this long post. I hope you had a great New Year celebration and lets make this year count!

See you Later!

With Love

The HFIC <3
