Lumen
Living in Michigan means you try to learn to adjust to our Moody Mother Nature (I still complain every winter and have been here all my life). Sometimes it snows in April, and then we can have 70 degrees in November. This year did not disappoint, with a day until December, I wanted to post a few throwbacks of places I went and got to enjoy a few good days. I’m not sure if its Global Warming, but I hate the cold weather, so I’m good either way.
One place I got some good content for to start my blogging was at my visit to Lumen. My homegirl and I had a date ( I LOVE a good Friend date) and decided to check it out. Here’s a cute little summary of how it went.
So, Lumen is super cute inside, Ive been there once before, but it was a few years back. Our waiter (I wish I knew her name, I want to say Nicole, but I’d feel crazy if thats not her name, but she looked like a Nicole, Im just gonna say Nicole) was very nice and attentive. I got a Capri Sunset, (I thought I got the Lumen Libation, but Im pretty sure its the Capri Sunset) See below,

Later we both decided to get the special which was Potato soup, I LOVE me some potato soup and this was a pretty solid choice.
I then followed it up with the Shrimp Florentine, now this was DELICIOUS, I really enjoyed it. I love some fresh black pepper when they grind it directly on the food…….It was good.
After a glass of prosecco and a lot of good girl talk, it was time to go, so we didnt get dessert. But my homegirl (who wasnt in the mood for selfies herself) decided to be my photographer and got a few good shots of my outfit. I picked my favorite one to share with you and give you a little background in case ya wanted to know.
So, here’s a little bit about my outfit. I got the jacket, top and pants YEARRS ago, it was a part of the Cardi B and FashionNova collab, I love a good suit. I paired it with my cheetah boots i got on sale a while back from Fashion Nova as well. I am a HUGE fan of Haus of Sy, (Im a Hau$wife, call me girl, make me an ambassador!) and thought this was the perfect time to wear my bag, and accessorized with my Teddy glasses in brown which you can find here on the site, Click here to go to Teddy Glasses. Whenever I go out, I make sure to have a piece on from the store to show you guys the items I’ve decided to carry at the store can be worn multiple ways, in the days of fast fashion, I think it’s important to get the most out of what we buy. Ya know?
Overall, I had a good time at Lumen and would go back. We sat inside; however they have a patio outside and they have where you can reserve what I would describe as a fancy heated tent called a Chalet. It’s perfect for a classy night out with your friends or date night. Im big on a nice ambiance and good service, they delivered.
